Figure 2 shows the repeatability of oil absorption by the Oil Eraser foam. Each cycle represents oil absorption to maximum capacity and then recovery oil absorbed oil from the foam using a specially formulated cleaning fluid.

The most challenging part of oceanic cleanup is subsurface oil – what looks like a brown cloud, emulsified by wind and waves. Oil Eraser, suspended in plastic cages, forms a barrier, containing this hazard. Water passes through but petrochemicals are captured by the foam.
APPLICATIONS
Oil Eraser can be used as a filter in waste pipes to collect petroleum waste products including oil, diesel, chlorobenzene and more.
Use Oil Eraser foam as a first line of defense against industrial pollution – containing the leak before it becomes an environmental hazard.
In addition to surface booms, Oil Eraser subsurface nets can be used as barriers to prevent spills from damaging beaches and wetlands.
Reticulated Oil Eraser foam can clean wastewater and retention ponds at a fraction of the cost.
Oil Eraser even works on emulsified oils – without introducing detergents to the environment.
Captured oil can be extracted and Oil Eraser foam can be re-used indefinitely– our process does not involve wringing, squeezing or otherwise damaging the foam.

Silicone Oil Eraser Filters
Water Warriors Inc., has developed a specialized coating for open cell polyurethane foam material which can selectively retain oil, while allowing water to flow through. The coated foam, Oil Eraser, shows hydrophobicity with the water contact angle of 144° and superoleophilicity with the oil contact angle of 0°.
This allows Silicone oil to be absorbed in the media while allowing water to pass through.

Oil Eraser Sock Booms can be used in oil spill clean-up situations or for ongoing oil/water separation needs in small or large bodies of water. It is approved by the EPA as an oil absorbent.

Oil Eraser CNC Pads are perfect for separating cutting fluid and used oil. This provides a tremendous savings and extends the number of hours of cutting time. This also eliminates any build up which results in a foul odor.
Emulsified and Surface Oils
Today, oil clean-up typically stops at the surface, with boons attempting to corral a sheet of oil suspended atop the water below leaving a high volume of subsurface oil–what looks like a brown cloud, emulsified by wind and waves. Further, with only 8-9% of the world’s oil pollution coming from offshore drilling leaks and spills, the problem of emulsified oil extends well beyond spill clean-up. Oil Eraser goes below the surface to address the larger need in sustaining and protecting the world’s water sources.
Our ability to coat biomedia with super-oleophilic coatings allows the media to capture free and emulsified oil in the wastewater. This prevents the oil from floating to the surface of the bioreactor, allowing the oil to stay immobilized on the biomedia surface, and immersed within the bioreactor liquid, wherein it can be biodegraded by the active bacteria.

INLINE FILTERS
Oil Eraser InLine Filters
The Oil Eraser InLine Filter Series is specially formulated to capture petrochemical pollutants. The inline filters, which are packed with Oil Eraser foam, enable the oil to be removed selectively, as the flow goes through the filter. This is a simple way to remove remaining oil after oil and water separators, which usually do not remove all the oil from the water flow.
In addition, oil-water separators cannot remove emulsified oil from the water. In-line filters is a simple process, that can be used, and the filter, once saturated, is landfilled.
